Praise the Lord and Pass the Sunscreen

by Red Wolf

United States: With a long history of prudish behaviour and a culture that glorifies violence and fears sex, Bill Martin may be living in land of wishful thinking with his plans to convert 240 acres of rubbish strewn land about 30 miles outside Tampa into a nudist playground for Christians.

The Bible very clearly states that when Adam and Eve were in right with God, they were naked, said David Blood, executive director of the project. When people are in right with God, they do not have to fear nudity.
The renovated park - to be called Natura - would feature an open church, a giant water park for the kids and classes in family building and strengthening marriage.

I'm guessing that guests will be asked to wear a fig leaf in keeping with American fundie traditions. That aside, Bare-Arsed Bill has more on his plate to worry about than finding customers.

Martin said he had not yet figured out what to do about four registered sex offenders living in or around the park, though he said he's discussing it with his attorneys.

Evangelism, witnessing and similar activitites go by one name here—advertising, and is no different from spam for viagra, penis enlargement products and pornography. We do not take advertising. If you want to advertise your imaginary friend, please spend your own money on your own web space to do so. Any attempts to use the comments section for advertisements will be deleted, and the perpetrator barred, unless they are particularly stupid, in which case I reserve the right to pinch an idea from Teresa Nielsen Hayden and delete all the vowels.

Allowed HTML: a href, b, br, p, strong, em, ol, ul, li, blockquote, q, pre. If your name has accents in it, I'm afraid you'll have to leave them out for now, as things are a little b0rked. The same applies if you are using a word processor to compose your comment, then copying and pasting the text—either turn off curly quotes and avoid using em-dashes, or edit your comment after pasting to get rid of them. Garbled comments usually get deleted.
