Drunken Actor Behaves Like Prat

United States: Mel Gibson has something of a reputation in Australia for his drunken ways. It looks like he's well and truely fallen off the wagon once again.

Gibson, whose controversial 2004 film The Passion of the Christ was a major hit, was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning for allegedly driving speeding along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, the beach town north of Los Angeles.

PM Bends Over for Loony Fundies

Australia: The Exclusive Brethren seem to be determined to bring themselves to the attentions of The Prattle of late. This time it's in relation to them scoring favours from the PM. One can only assume this is in return for the cult doing a hatchet job on the Greens in the Tasmania elections.

I aten't dead

Australia: The apparent silence around these parts is because I'm temporarily encamped somewhere near to Prattle Towers (southern hemisphere), and connectivity is not as good as you might expect for a major metropolis. I'm currently reduced to Starbucks (avoiding the alleged coffee), which only has pay-for wi-fi here.

There's lots of loony fundie interference in politics around here, which is being covered in some depth by a local LGBT freesheet The Pink Broad, although the tale of the Exclusive Brethren hasn't made it to their web site yet. RedWolf should consider this a poke in the ribs!
