Bargain of the Day: cuddly goddesses

Feel safe at night with your very own Goddess Blessing Doll:

Triple goddess dollsSoft bodied Goddess dolls are popular with modern fabric artists and come in all sorts of different forms.Goddess dolls are spiritually inspired by an idea, feeling or concept etc..

My Goddess dolls are shaped in a traditional Goddess form, to evoke her gentle, powerful and healing spiritual energies. They are unique in having a pocket incorporated into the design into which names, hair, herbs, affirmations, spells, crystals, prayers etc…can be placed, to allow her to be used in healing, magical or spiritual workings.

My dolls are intended to connect you to higher spiritual energies as you work with them and create a relationship with the mother Goddess.

I work with my Goddess Blessing doll by writing a wish or affermation on some paper, for example 'May peace prevail on the earth' and placing it within the pocket with a small crystal and a few apropriet herbs (wrapped securely in tissue for easy removal) I then take the doll and channel healing energies and/or chant the affermation as I hold her. If sending healing to someone, I will place their name in the pocket and use the doll as you would a poppet in sympathetic magic or Reiki/spiritual distance healing. There are many ways you can use the Doll, but they are designed to be used only with positive, healing and loving intent.

It seems that neopagans can speak Christian English, too.

Minions are insane. Plush deities indeed!

I think the basic concept is a good and workable one.....especially for those "newbies" who aren't exactly sure how a poppet should be made.

I still say it's a toy for Fluffy Bunnies. Look at that last bit: “they are designed to be used only with positive, healing and loving intent”. If the Goddess existed, that'd really piss her off. Can you imagine Kali, the Morrigan, Cerridwen or Sekhmet having any interest in such matters?

Oh I agree that they are VERRY "fluff bunny"....which is why I said it was a "workable idea for "newbies" who don't know how". As I serve one of the "dark" Goddesses I can imagine *her* snort of contempt at such "toys". We all have to start somewhere I suppose. lol!

I remain resolutely Weatherwaxian. Every single deity, every single prayer or spell is nothing more than headology.

Religious tat, such as this, is just there to reinforce one's belief in one's imaginary friend because, let's face it, they don't actually exist so you need these props until you are sufficiently mentally ill to believe in imaginary friends with no help.

I am the maker of the dolls. I'm not going to argue about the 'fluffy' lable. But they are handmade and each one is individual rather than the manafactured commercial tat you can buy these days. They also are a very useful tool in healing work, sympathetic magic and a focus for the 'headology' someone mentioned.
People who have baught them love them, use them and treasure them.

Evangelism, witnessing and similar activitites go by one name here—advertising, and is no different from spam for viagra, penis enlargement products and pornography. We do not take advertising. If you want to advertise your imaginary friend, please spend your own money on your own web space to do so. Any attempts to use the comments section for advertisements will be deleted, and the perpetrator barred, unless they are particularly stupid, in which case I reserve the right to pinch an idea from Teresa Nielsen Hayden and delete all the vowels.

Allowed HTML: a href, b, br, p, strong, em, ol, ul, li, blockquote, q, pre. If your name has accents in it, things will (hopefully!) work better if you use the XHTML entities for those letters. The same applies if you are using a word processor to compose your comment, then copying and pasting the text—either turn off curly quotes and avoid using em-dashes, or edit your comment after pasting to get rid of them. Garbled comments usually get deleted.
