Your author would love to accuse the smug and ignorant Patten of lying, but he cannot.

Would this be the same Roman Catholic Church that demanded it be exempted from anti-discrimination legislation so that it could practise intolerance in the provision of services for which it receives public money? The same one that insisted the exemption could not run both ways? The same one that complains that people are intolerant of them, yet insists their children have their own separate schools so that the majority grow up not having known any children from Catholic families?
Oh yes, of course it would be.
