Love Thy Neighbour round-up

Central African Rupublic: A mob of Christians have killed two Muslims and burned their bodies in the latest example of horrific religious violence sweeping that country in the aftermath of a coup. On Friday, a convoy carrying Muslim refugees out of the country was attacked and 22 people killed. And at least one person identifying as Christian has boasted about an attack that would (hopefully) horrify even the EDL (after the cut, because it's graphic).

He saw a man sitting on the minibus - he thought he looked Muslim so he decided to follow the bus. More and more people joined him until he was at the head of a mob.

He described what happened after the man was dragged off the bus: I kicked his legs out from under him. He fell down. I stabbed his eyes.

Muslim! Muslim! Muslim! I stabbed him in the head. I poured petrol on him. I burned him. Then I ate his leg, the whole thing right down to the white bone. That's why people call me Mad Dog.

The attackers have, in each case, claimed to be avenging murders by Muslims, but the targets are random.

Evangelism, witnessing and similar activitites go by one name here—advertising, and is no different from spam for viagra, penis enlargement products and pornography. We do not take advertising. If you want to advertise your imaginary friend, please spend your own money on your own web space to do so. Any attempts to use the comments section for advertisements will be deleted, and the perpetrator barred, unless they are particularly stupid, in which case I reserve the right to pinch an idea from Teresa Nielsen Hayden and delete all the vowels.

Allowed HTML: a href, b, br, p, strong, em, ol, ul, li, blockquote, q, pre. If your name has accents in it, things will (hopefully!) work better if you use the XHTML entities for those letters. The same applies if you are using a word processor to compose your comment, then copying and pasting the text—either turn off curly quotes and avoid using em-dashes, or edit your comment after pasting to get rid of them. Garbled comments usually get deleted.
