Barking up the wrong tree

by Feòrag

Neopagans are being blamed for the disappearance of a rare pedigree dog in London. Rather than assuming that thieves took the Basenji, which went missing last month during a walk in Beckenham Park, the owner has connected the incident with ceremonies going on in the park. The rituals involving fire, candles, stone circles and symbols hung in trees are similar to ones which went on there in the 1970s. The group concerned has apparently built some 'very elaborate' stone circles in the woods. Mystery of rituals in park . This is Local London March 5th 2002.
