Sacred mountain row

In New Zealand, Maori are upset about the possibility that a sacred mountain might appear in the background of a film being made in the area. At the same time, they're charging the crew large sums of money for 'spritual ceremonies'. This sentence hints that the real motives are far from religious: Maori are also unhappy that there is no financial recognition of their interest in the mountain.
