A scammer claiming to be a Dutch psychic is distributung letters around the North East of England claiming that someone hates the recipient and that something terrible will happen unless she is paid £7. She asks people to send personal details which are enough to allow her access to people's bank accounts.
Trading Standards have received a number of complaints and Durham council have urged recipients to file them in the bin. Fortune teller's threats - icNewcastle, 15th January 2003.
