What I'm not convinced by is the assertion that sexuality has any bearing on an individual's ability to remember birthdays.

I dunno if it makes remembering birthdays any easier either, but I've known a number of gay men I'd happily have married at one time or another -- and they were all good dancers.

And, as Seumas pointed out last night, a gay man will go clothes shopping with you, be honest with you when you try something on (and not get bored by the process), and will always be aware of the latest thing which will look perfect on you that you didn't know about.

Actually I know of several straight men who are asked advice by their female friends on clothing. (Ok, I lie one...me.) Just because you have a good eye for this sort of thing does not mean you are gay.
