The jury was told he sent the teenager a series of explicit love letters, repeatedly stating how sexy she was and that heaven had granted permission for them to sleep together.

It's worth noting the quality information Kamm receives from God — through His Holy Mother, Mary. He issued a press release in August 2004 noting that terrorist (apparently just the one) are planning to attack several named targets in the immediate future. All of the targets are still intact and seemingly of no interest to nutjobs with bombs.

The judge admitted that the case did not fall into the worst case scenario, but believes that a full-time jail term was warranted as there is a significant risk of Kamm re-offending.

In sentencing today, Judge John Williams described the crime as an inexcusable and gross breach of trust against a very young and immature girl.

Judge Williams said the letters Kamm wrote to the girl were completely inappropriate in any circumstances and could not be given any religious justification.

Apparently it's quite legal to set up your own pseudo religion based around getting nooky and scamming the Government out of money, but it is frowned upon to shag teenage bimbos too stupid to know that shonky religious loons are best avoided. There seems to be something of an imbalance at work in the law.
