Three sisters, from India, who say they are on the run from the religious sect, allege they can link it to numerous crimes. The women also allege the Exclusive Brethren is involved in money laundering, immigration fraud in New Zealand and bribery of police and members of the judiciary in India.

Australia: For a cult that loudly proclaims how it doesn't vote, the Exclusive Brethren seem to have extraordinary difficulty in staying the hell out of politics. Their latest bout of interference has been to send a letter to the citizens of Tasmania
warning them about the evilness of Greens leader Bob Brown.
Considering their usual dabbling in politics comes in the form of smear campaigns that are either unsigned or attributed to dodgy shelf companies, this one was signed off by 51 cult members.

By now I expect no one will be surprised that not only was the alleged paedophile a church leader at one point and was the trustee of a private Brethren school. No doubt wangling his way into that position, one he was reportedly very active in, to get closer to his victims.
This is the third case of kiddie fiddling that's been brought to light in the past 12 months, but the cult deny any pattern of behaviour. Between paedophilia, child abuse and the destruction of families, the Exclusive Brethren is not looking like is a terribly safe place to be.

FORMER Family Court chief justice Alastair Nicholson has accused the Exclusive Brethren church of brainwashing and abusing children by denying them access to their non-Brethren parents.Continue reading "Religiously Justified Child Abuse"
Mr Nicholson also accused it of failing to comply with court orders, of stacking Family Court rooms with supporters to intimidate opponents, of using their almost unlimited legal funds toconduct appeals no matter how hopeless, and ofunacceptablecomments about being above the law.
Australia: Oh dear, John Howard has finally announced an election and his bestest buddies are sprung illegally moving large sums of cash around the world to fund smear campaigns in his favour.
A former member of the Exclusive Brethren has revealed the secretive religious sect has been transferring large sums of money across the world, possibly to fund political campaigns in Australia and the US.Continue reading "Brethren Outed for Illegally Shifting Cash"
In recent years Brethren leaders have met with numerous Liberal ministers, including Prime Minister John Howard.

The two parties were accused of the destruction of families through supporting gay marriage and same-sex adoption, and turning a blind eye to drugs, prostitution, pornography and immigration from non-Christian countries.
Although the leaflet contains no authorisation required for political advertising, Newhouse believed theextremist materialcould be the work of the Exclusive Brethren.
Australia: There was a recent proclamation from the Brethren via their official PR wonk that they would no longer be dabbling in politics. As with all Brethren claims, that one appears to be a big steaming pile of manure too. Feòrag has pointed me in the direction of a tale about the wingnuts corrupting a local council to get their agenda sorted.

Continue reading "The Almost Weekly Exclusive Brethren Round Up of Stupidity"Australia: One of the recent Exclusive Brethren [Prattle archive] court battles has wound up with the Tasmanian Family Court granting access rights to the excommunicated father, which will no doubt be ignored by the cult. Interestingly enough, the judge bowed to cult lunacy and insisted that the father keep his children isolated and ignorant of reality while they're in his custody.
An excommunicated member of the Exclusive Brethren sect has been ordered by the Family Court not to expose his children to television, radio or non-members of the church in a landmark decision granting him access rights.Continue reading "Court Win Against Cult"
Despite finding Exclusive Brethren members and the mother had beenabusivein denying the father access visits after the Tasmanian couple's 2003 separation, his bid for full custody was denied because it would be too traumatic for the children to be removed from the secretive Christian sect.
Australia: Christmas is generally the season when Christian religions put on a good front in the hope that they'll keep the seasonal church-goers beyond the holiday. Not so the Exclusive Brethren, who aside from becoming Prattle regulars, have shown their Christmas spirit with an exciting display of corruption, child abuse and paedophilia.
Brethren schools seem to have the enviable ability to tap parents for extremely large sums of money, even in small country towns.

The most recent fun day in Sydney is said to have taken $1.3 million from the city's Brethren members, many of whom run successful businesses. Australia: The Exclusive Brethren seem to be determined to bring themselves to the attentions of The Prattle of late. This time it's in relation to them scoring favours from the PM. One can only assume this is in return for the cult doing a hatchet job on the Greens in the Tasmania elections.

Australia: The Exclusive Brethren, a loony fundy Christian cult, has been caught distributing false and misleading documents about the Tasmanian Greens. They're also guilty of bankrolling the half-page ads claiming that the Tasmanian Greens' progressive transgender and intersex policies would ruin our families and societies

This is a very highly cashed up campaign by people whose bigotry is miserable and divisive of families. It is in strong contrast to the Greens inclusive and family-enhancing policies,Senator Brown said.
