A.k.a. The Great Japanese Earthquake Conspiracy List. It was, I suppose, inevitable that the ongoing disaster in Japan would attract some rather bizarre hypotheses regarding its cause. The most popular one right now links it with HAARP, and there are too many of them to list. Frustratingly, I've seen references in non-open fora to a suggestion that it was caused by Israeli nuclear testing, but I can't find any more than that. As ever, this list will expand over time.

The Great Michael Jackson Conspiracy List
Well, that didn't take long. There are already two main conspiracy theories developing surrounding the demise of singer Michael Jackson: the first is that he was murdered in some symbolic way by the conspiracy; the second that he isn't dead at all. Note that the police do consider his death to be suspicious and are investigating the possibility of unlawful killing, which just fans the conspiracies further. This list is really just a Wee Conspiracy List at the moment, but no doubt it will expand over time.

The Great Hurricane Katrina Conspiracy List
United States: Okay, I give up. The conspiracy theorists are busy refusing to believe in natural disasters again. This time, it's Hurricane Katrina (and Hurricane Rita) which is the work of evil governments, psychopathic deities and all the usual suspects. No doubt when San Francisco is hit by a huge earthquake, they'll insist that it was totally unexpected, and really the work of their preferred evil. So, here is the traditional Great Conspiracy List to which we'll add as more conspiracies emerge.

The Great London Bombing Conspiracy List
United Kingdom: It didn't take long for the conspiracy theorists to get to work on the London bombing, after all it couldn't possibly be the work of a few religious bampots, could it? Most of them bear a stunning resemblance to the ones surrounding September 11th 2001. So, here are the ones we have so far:

The Great Tsunami Conspiracy List
Red Wolf has been hard at work collecting tsunami conspiracies, and I've been working somewhat less diligently to add a few more. Here are the fruits of our labours:
